How to use?
How to use?
Step 1: Install two AAA batteries(included) by unscrewing the battery cover on the back of the detector.
Step 2: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device. Wait 30 seconds for the detector to warm up and complete its self-calibration. A beep will sound when it's ready.
Step 3: Select the sensitivity level by pressing the power button - choose between high or low sensitivity depending on your detection needs.
Step 4: Slowly move the sensor tip near areas you want to check for gas leaks (like pipe connections, valves, or appliance fittings). If gas is detected above 20% LEL, the device will:
- Display rising indicator bars on screen
- Show a red warning light
- Emit an audible alarm beep

"Good detector overall. Took about 30 seconds to warm up properly (read the manual folks!), but once calibrated it works consistently. Helped me check all the connections after installing a new stove. The build quality feels solid enough though not quite as premium as some $300+ professional models."

"I bought this to help me take care of a gas leak under a cooktop. It quickly helped me isolate the leak to a specific fitting by emitting a sound at that fitting and no others. I am very satisfied with this product."

"Was starting to wonder if this was sensitive enough to detect the leak. I was getting gas odor from the top of the range and wasn't detecting anything. Then I decided to pull the range out and check the plumbing. My guess is that the regulator diaphragm has a leak and that's why I'm detecting gas from the vent."

A very precise detector that actually works
"I'm a homeowner and wasn't expecting much from a portable detector, but this device has truly impressed me. It detected a small leak that even the gas company's equipment missed. The digital display is clear and the alarm system gives me peace of mind. Very precise and reliable for the price."

Karen B. November 2024Verified BuyerIt is truly very sensitive as I tested this outside getting closer to an intentional open source. Sensitivity reading is what I would recommend, it is definitely comparable and sensitivity to more expensive products. Highly recommend again.

Britney H. October 2024Verified BuyerThe device is simple and effective. Whenever I have doubts about a gas leak, this device will give me an answer in 1 minute. If you are not regularly using it, make sure to remove the battery so it doesn’t leak out.

Jessica K. October 2024Verified BuyerI have three dual fuel inverter generators, three patio space heaters/fire pits so there are lots of propane hoses and adapters which have many connections where gas leaks may happen. I saw this item on a YouTube channel and thought it would be a handy item to put in my generator accessory box. This tool helped my find a leak when I hooked up a new generator. It was sensitive enough to help me determine exactly where the leak was at a connection that had three possible leak sites within inches of each other. A quick turn of a wrench and the leak was gone. Highly recommend!

Jesica N. October 2024Verified BuyerI thought that I may have a leak somewhere around the heads of one of my propane tanks. This detector did not show anything. Then just yesterday, I had a whole lot of fun helping a guy change out a water heater. Used the tester to check for leaks in the gas lines we had taken apart during the change out. No leaks detected in the reassembled lines. Had some problems purging the gas line and getting the pilot to start. I put the tester into the flue stack and it did detect natural gas. So that was my confirmation that the detector did work. Yes, we did eventually get the pilot to light.

Marina Alves October 2024Verified BuyerI kept smelling natural gas around my gas stove but no one else that I asked could smell it. I ordered this detector and waved it all around the area of the stove and the unit detected nothing. I turned on the gas and let it run for a few seconds and then waved the detector and it alarmed right away so I know it works! Now I know whatever it is I’m smelling, it’s not gas!
